Introducing HydraBoss: a new range of professional plastering tools
Posted by TW Wholesale | Published 30th Sep 2026
As the saying goes ‘a workman is only as good as his tools’, and that’s why we’re always looking for ways to give tradespeople more choice when it comes to the tools they rely on every day.
We're excited to introduce HydraBoss, our new exclusive range of professional rendering and plastering tools, designed by TW Wholesale.
Created with plasterers, renderers and tradespeople in mind, the HydraBoss range brings together a growing selection of plastering trowels, floats, sponges, render scrapers, and other essential tools for the job, delivering quality made, reliable tools at affordable prices.
Meet HydraBoss
The HydraBoss ethos is simple: provide practical plastering tools that tradespeople can rely on day in, day out. Whether they’re applying, laying on, smoothing or finishing materials, HydraBoss make tools you can trust.
With more than 35 years of experience selling tools, we know exactly which ones hit the mark and where they fall short, from the design and materials used to weight and price point. We’ve taken all this technical knowledge and used it to create a range of work tools that we are proud to put our name to.
HydraBoss plastering trowels
We appreciate that different applications and finishes require different trowels. The HydraBoss plastering tools range offers both flexible and rigid trowel options so you can pick the right tool for the job rather than trying to make one trowel do everything.
Laying on trowels
The HydraBoss Pro Rigid Laying-On & Finishing Trowel is designed for professional plastering applications where rigidity, precision and durability are essential. Its 0.65mm hardened stainless-steel blade provides a firmer, rigid feel ideal for spreading plaster or render onto a wall or ceiling.
The hardened stainless-steel construction also provides excellent resistance to corrosion, deformation and abrasion, helping the blade maintain its shape and performance during demanding plastering work.
Available in 14", 16" and 18" sizes, the HydraBoss Pro Rigid gives plasterers a choice of blade size to suit different applications and working preferences.

Finishing trowels
Designed for intensive, prolonged use our ErgoFlex finishing trowels feature a hardened stainless-steel blade combined with a comfortable cork handle, giving plasterers a balance of flexibility, control and comfort during finishing work.
The range includes 0.3mm and 0.4mm blade thickness options, as well as a choice of blade sizes from 8” to 18”, allowing you to select the trowel that best suits your application and preferred working style.
The 0.3mm ErgoFlex offers a highly flexible blade designed particularly for finishing thin-layer plasters and renders, while the 0.4mm version provides a little more rigidity for intensive finishing applications.

Choosing the right HydraBoss plastering trowel
Choosing the right HydraBoss plastering trowel comes down to the type of work you’re carrying out and how much flexibility you prefer from your blade.
The ErgoFlex range is designed for finishing applications, with flexible 0.3mm and 0.4mm hardened stainless-steel blades. The 0.65mm Pro Rigid has a thicker, more rigid blade, making it a plastering trowel suitable for laying-on as well as finishing.

Floats
Floats are another essential when carrying out plastering, rendering, screeding and finishing work, as they compact and flatten finishes, leaving your ceilings and walls with a smooth, clean surface. The HydraBoss float range is built with tradespeople in mind, combining lightweight materials, comfortable grips and float options suitable for a mix of applications.
Plastic floats
The HydraBoss polyurethane floats are designed for use with sand and cement, screeds and render systems.
Their durable polyurethane construction and cross-grain surface make them suitable for compacting, flattening and smoothing materials, while their lightweight design makes gives great manoeuvrability making them a favoured plastering tool for long jobs.

Rubber Floats
The HydraBoss ABS Float Base is ideal for grouting, smoothing plaster and finishing cement and plaster mortars; the non-marking black sponge makes it particularly suitable for use with darker-coloured grouts.
The rubberised sponge surface provides good adhesion to the working surface, helping to achieve an even finish while minimising the risk of damage to the material. The impact-resistant ABS base is built with durability in mind, while the ergonomic two-component handle offers a comfortable grip and greater control, ideal for everyday use.

Sponge Floats
For removing grout residue, cleaning tiles and smoothing plaster the HydraBoss range also offers a variety of highly absorbent sponge floats. Available in a range of sizes and different sponge options, including cut-in and non-cut-in hydro sponge designs.

Render Scraper
The HydraBoss Render Scraper is designed for scraping back rendered surfaces helping to achieve a clean, consistent decorative finish. The render scraper is particularly suited to the final stages of installing monocouche render, where the surface needs to be scratched back to expose the required finish.
Featuring sharp, twisted teeth designed to remove harder-set render in a single pass it is a useful tool for professional renderers looking for controlled and efficient material removal during the finishing process.
Featuring an ergonomic cork handle the render scraper is comfortable to grip, helping to give the user greater control when working across rendered surfaces.
